ROB Camra left this review about Stone & Taps

Much improved since our visit to this pub as the JDW Swim Inn. It's still the same basic shape, but it's been opened out in some areas and made into different distinct areas elsewhere. The range of beers isn't as extensive as it was when it was a JDW, but there were 4 ales on the bar and the 2 we had were in good condition. The service is much improved as well.

Probably the worst of the Spoons in central Sheffield. It's not a particularly good ambience due to the shape/design of the place. The barmaid who served us was a complete jobsworth and stunningly inefficient. There were a couple of guest ales on the bar but several others weren't on despite having pump clips on them. I had a decent pint of Abbeydale and the other half had a Benchmark Shiraz as usual. Whilst we were being served a group of 8 were ordering food all together. They sat near us and their meals arrived one by one over a 20 minute period and when we left 2 people still hadn't got their meals. It's not good and the Bath Hotel, Red Deer & Devonshire Cat are all close by. I'd go to one of those not here.

Reported to be closing this week and opening again later under new owners Hawthorne Leisure.

Review November 2014
This one wasn't on my agenda for my day in Sheffield but due to inept route finding I found myself walking past it so had to go in. It takes up a small part of a Victorian baths and swimming pool but the interior is rather dull and modern and by JDW standards this isn't one of their larger outlets. Despite this there was a better than average selection of guest and Locale ales, the only boring options being GK Ruddles and Abbot. Beers noted were Acorn Ginger Nuts, Milestone Little John, Farmer's Belgian Blue, Chantry New York Pale and Everard's Low Blow Session IPA. There was also a cider available soon and a Mild that I couldn't catch the name of but I'm guessing it would be a local one. To add to the decent ale selection, a standard guest ale (the majority of them) were just £1.85, 10p more than Ruddles but considerably less than Abbot. I went for the Acorn Ginger Nuts which was in good nick but not the best ginger beer I've ever tried.
Despite the dull interior I would return here as it's on the Tram route to Kelham Island and is the cheapest Spoons I've been to which earns it an extra mark.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Swim Inn (JD Wetherspoon)

The old façade belies the modernised interior, irregular in shape and with a raised seating area plus an unusual indoor 'terrace' with open shutters along the frontage (possibly a remnant of the building's former life as the Glossop Road Baths). Eight out of ten handpumps working, with a reasonable selection of real ales including Willy's Wheatbeer from the Springhead Brewery (£1.95).

If your mood was dull, then this particular pub wouldn't lift your spirits, as it is too dark and lacked atmosphere. We had a drink of Wharfedale Spring Hop, which was good. Will not return.

Pub SignMan left this review about Swim Inn (JD Wetherspoon)

This is a reasonably sized Wetherspoons house with something of a modern feel to it. The pub, which occupies part of the former Glossop Road Swimming Baths, has an odd split-level layout with entry to the raised front section with a long, almost conservatory style space at the front with large windows looking out towards the aforementioned Glossop Road. Dropping down into the main part of the pub, there is a large carpeted open area filled with rows of standard tables and chairs, whilst the bar is situated along the back wall. The traditional style seating booths that can be found in most Wetherspoons pubs have a slight twist here as the normal wood and glass construction has been replaced by mosaic tiles with local art on display in each one. A couple of TV screens were on showing muted 24 hour news, although this was replaced later on by coverage of the five nations rugby. I visited on a Sunday at lunchtime and was surprised to find the place very quiet, although a few more punters turned up once the rugby started.
There were 10-12 hand pumps with an impressive seven guest ales available alongside the Spoon’s regulars. I tried the Acorn IPA at £2.10 and thought it was kept well enough and a tasty beer to wash my lunch down with. The barman was a bit on the grumpy side but the service was thankfully more efficient than that experienced by some of the previous reviewers.
This part of town does seem to be particularly well served by good pubs, rendering the need for a Wetherspoons fairly obsolete. It’s a solid enough ‘Spoons if that’s what you’re after, but there are plenty of other pubs nearby that are higher up on the list of places to revisit.

Alan Winfield left this review about Swim Inn (JD Wetherspoon)

This is a large Wetherspoons that is in an old swimming baths hence the name.
This pub was fairly dark inside and quite busy with lots of dodgy characters in here on my visit, there was the usuall range of beers on the bar with a few guest beers i had a drink Abbeydale Moonshine which was a decent drink.
This pub is ok for a quick drink but i would'nt stay any longer.

Another Wetherspoons, this is a weird subterranean effort over two dark levels - as a former swimming pool perhaps you are drinking in the what was the pool basin itself (and which on the sweltering day I chose to crawl the city provided merciful relief from the searing heat outside). Surprisingly, given the location and interior, four guest ales were available and my stout (I forget whose) was served very well by a friendly barman. Whilst I really didn't care for it as pub, the beer range and quality is enough to make me recommend popping in to see if anything tickles your taste buds if you happen to be nearby (en route to the Bath Hotel I hope!).
