I'm the landlady of this pub.Maybe you should get a life,you obviously don't have one.And learning to spell wouldn't be such a bad thing.If you want to go around giving pubs bad reviews,at least be man enough to show yourself.In reply to your messages,customers do not go behind my bar,I have staff to serve.As for 3 people being in for karaoke on a Saturday night,we don't have karaoke on a Saturday.Finally,the plaques were taken down,because 3 of the deceased were not regulars and most of the long time regulars didn't even know who the other 2 were.

last orders please not a great pub bar staff want to learn how to smile same as usual 3 people in wants sorting out this pub used to be packed to the door few years ago
heard them complaining the landlady took all placks of wall of regulars who died and had drank in pub for years wont be many more placks as the pub is dead

called in again after months same faces only less people in fact 3 to be honest same noise of that so called dj or karaoke man as the lady said at the bar prices bit steep no smiles of bar staff dont think it be open much longer as if thats a saturday night crowd 3 people whats it like during week good pint bitter tho even if it was not cask

got to say this pub has gone downhill always quite no wonder the beer expensive bar staff bit offish with new customers called in few times seems same people in altimes ive been ther who the landlord or landlady is dont know seems any custemer can serve behind bar entertainment zil a pure racket of karaoke wen ive been in either dj and customers must be deaf tinny sound as bad ive ever heard then customers must be easy satisfied

this pub dont know who it wants to cater for toilets bit smelly new landlord landlady bar staff bit rough and mouthy beer not that good dont know how they pick ther bar staff must be with straws as all seem to think they run the pub

Way back in the 70s, I and a lot of my peers used to effectively have 3 locals. Here, The Highland Laddie across the road and The Albert (now closed). It’s probably over 10 years since I’ve been in here prior to this visit. It used to be nicknamed the sixth form canteen as so many of us went in. This pub is one fairly small room with a pool table in one corner and a DJ stand in another. There was karaoke on the other night and the music was blasting out to 9 or 10 rather sad looking people. No real ale of course so I had a pint of Carling, yeuk! There’s a sign on the main door that says “Selling stolen goods in here is strictly prohibited, if caught you will be barred”. There’s a sign in the gents that says “Only one person to a cubicle, if you get caught you will be barred”. Oh it’s a class place is this now. I finished my pint of fizzy crap in double quick time and left. I doubt if I’ll ever call in here again. It’s pretty sad really as this was my local for at least 5 years.
