As mentioned below this pub has a great position on the river (unless it floods when it will have a great position in the river). A couple of different outside areas means that it's a total tourist trap. Inside it's just one, thin, long room with a couple of different areas. The right hand side is mainly for dining. It's a very new looking pub, but in an old building. Why they're selling Youngs Bitter and Fullers London Pride on 2 of their 6 handpumps is beyond me, but the Saltaire Blonde was in decent nick. A very strong smell of fish and lots of wailing brats on a Friday, early afternoon was rather offputting though, so I had a quick pint and moved on to somewhere more pubbish.

One of the key selling points of this pub is its location on the south bank of the River Aire with its wonderful views over to Roberts Park and close proximity to the Leeds Liverpool Canal which flows behind the pub.. It is on the site of the original Saltaire Estate boat house built by Titus Salt in 1871 when he then provided the green space opposite, originally called Saltaire Park, for his workers in Salt Mill. The pub has a new build feel about it as it was completely refurbished in 2009 to coincide with the spending of £5 Million of Heritage Lottery funding to bring Roberts Park and surrounds back to its original Victorian splendour.
Internally it hasn’t got a great deal of character, if any at all, being a large wood floored open bar area with a dining room section in the back. But this pub is best visited on a fine weather day when the pleasant outside drinking area in front of the pub entrance or the stalls on the gallery overlooking the river can be utilised.
We were only here for a beer and didn’t eat so cannot comment on the food, but on the beer front there were five ales and a cider on the go on the six pumps. The real ale choice was a bit mainstream and pedestrian, being TT Landlord, Fullers London Pride, Black Sheep Best Bitter and Youngs Bitter on four but fortunately a very passable Saltaire Blond on the last.

The Boathouse Inn is set in a nice location wive good views of the River Aire from its windows.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the bar is on the left side, the room is bare boarded, the seating mainly normal tables and chairs with some diner seating to the right.
There were six real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Saltaire Blonde which went down well, the other beers were Saltaire Stout No5,two beers from Small World brewery and Prospect Whatever.
This is a decent pub to have a few drinks in and was very busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
A shame i had to go out into the very heavy rain to pub crawl my way back to Shipley.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Boathouse Inn

Apparently it is (as the name would suggest) a converted boathouse, but the place must have had a very vigourous makeover because it looks very modern inside. However, having said that, it looks appropriate in a fine setting beside the River Aire with its large picture windows overlooking Roberts Park and the statue of Sir Titus Salt on the bandstand. Five of the six handpumps were on, with Black Sheep, Saltaire Blonde, Copper Dragon Golden Pippin, Treboom Yorkshire Sparkle (£3.50) plus a cider available. All-in-all, despite prices being high for the area, a pretty good spot for a pint.

a new build in brick located between the canal and the river in a lovely parkland setting, a nice place to enjoy a few beers. The building isn't blessed with charisma and the default glass is an old fashioned dimpled mug but otherwise not bad.

Lovely canal side venue, very well furbished, and a fair selection of ales usually on. Prices are pretty steep however.

Enjoyed a decent sunday roast here after a walk along the canal - benefits from a lovely location overlooking both the river Aire and the nearby Roberts Park and Salts Cricket Club. The roast was fine and Saltaire Blonde was in good condition. It was a little dark inside but I imagine in winter this is a cosy, warm place to retreat to, and the fire in the dining area looked quite impressive.
