A basic locals pub and as such is fine for what it is,I visited back in April and unfortunately my pint of Lees Bitter wasn't the best.

A proper pub in amongst the Hipster venues in this area! The Lees bitter was excellent. Worth calling in.

Another bonkers Manchester Pub. Battling in through the front door on a Friday evening was a challenge. Full on Karaoke, with people dancing. But look to the rear and there is a nice partioned room, with a beautiful fire place. An oasis of tranquility. It was there that I (and Rob Camra) need to head for.

Beer wise, its a JW Lees house - so their bitter was in fine condition, if not served in a unusually dumpled glass.

A good and lively proper pub, surrounded by the vulgarities of the Northern Quarter. The L-shaped front bar includes a tiny stage, while there is a nice traditional back room behind. Beers from Lees, with three different on handpump.

One roomed pub that is getting very shabby. The carpets and decor are tired and worn, so are most of the customers. Mainly at the mature end of the scale with lots of high viz jackets in evidence on my Friday evening visit. It's a Lees pub and had 3 of their beers on handpump. The Lees Bitter was very tired as well. The Northern Quarter is up and coming with lots of smart bars. This is the place that the people who aren't go. It could be an absolute goldmine if Lees spent a few quid, but at the moment it's pretty poor.
