Quinno _ left this review about Second Stage

Classic small seaside town multi-purpose boozer. There are two sections inside, enter to a modern pool area with three tables, all occupied. Head down a step to a fairly bland area which is designed mainly for catering to the hoardes on a sunny June summer’s day. The one item of interest here are the Carry On film posters. Over-loud 80s music for a late Sunday afternoon and it certainly feels like a pub that is always loud, one way or another. GBG22 listed and indeed there were two casks on the go; a GT Thirst Brew (slightly warm, NBSS 2.5) and Exmoor Stag (3.5). All staff working either had coloured hair, were tatted-up, or both. It’s that kind of place – you wouldn’t make a special trip to sample it but it’ll do for a pint and game of pool if you’re staying over. GBG22 listed.
