We were supposed to be having the last couple of drinks in the Head Of Steam across the road, but they'd decided to close before 11 despite claiming to be open until 12. We ended up in here. Exactly as described by Al below, except that they had no real ale at all, there was a turned round Doom Bore pump clip though. Ended up having a pint of Franciscan Well Chieftain keg. It wasn't bad, but not as good as the real thing in their brewery bar in Cork. The barmaid was really friendly and asked us if we wanted another drink before they closed the bar at 12. We did, as did a couple of the other punters, so they just stayed open. Much better than I thought it was going to be.

A large Oirish franchise. This one has recently had a facelift. Its a just below street level pub and is open plan. Its has 2 areas with the first area as you enter down the steps. This is where you find the curved bar. To right of the bar, down a couple of steps is the other area. This part has a stage for musicians. Lots of tellies. There are 2 handpumps on the bar but only Doom Bore is usually on. The rest of the bar is littered with shiny fizzpop taps. The place is popular of an evening. Not cheap either.
