A decent JD with a couple of drinking areas and a good selection of real ales.

This is a fairly standard JDW but I thought it was the best of the ones visited in NE Wales. Inside it's a fairly mundane long low ceilinged room with the bar at the end and another area off to the right.
The beer choice was good here with the ten hand pumps dispensing the JDW Trio Of Doom, A Plassey beer available soon, Hafod Moel Famau, Milestone Little John, Inveralmond Amber Bead, Great Newsome Holderness Dark, Lancaster Admiral Archer and Spitting Feathers Thirst Quencher. I went for the Moel Famau (£2.15) which was in excellent condition.
It might not be much of a building but I thought this was a good Spoons.

This place is ok and comfy enough. A sort of L-shaped interior. The servery is at the rear as you enter and is quite bright compared to the rest if the place due to a high glass ceiling. A fair selection of beers with many being Welsh brews. A raised area to the right of the bar. The best selection of real ale in Mold, arguably.

Run of the mill JDW pub with basic furniture and fittings that now look a tad tired, although there was a good range of real ales on show.
