The Corner Pin is a multi-roomed pub with a front bar area to the right of the entrance with seating along the front windows and a small back bar. There is more seating to the left of the entrance and a pool table can be found in a room to the right rear. Strangely there are pictures of Pat Butcher and another EastEnders character alongside a Dalek and an extensive list of rules. These rules forbid isms and phobias and mention that the toilet is not Noah’s Ark so do not enter in pairs. I think the rules are in place to stop large groups of hen and stag parties from tearing the place down. There is a plasma screen in the bar which was turned off during my Saturday afternoon visit in favour of some background music. I didn’t spot a dartboard, but one is advertised on the exterior so I guess I must have missed it. To the left of the pub is some outside seating.

Amongst some standard draught fonts I counted six hand pumps on the bar. Three of these were unused leaving Hobgoblin, Wychwood’s Imperial Red and Cameron ar hon anye as the cask ale options. I didn’t see any food advertised, but some tables had sauces on so food must be available.

The young guys running this place seemed nice enough, but I wasn’t massively impressed and do not plan to return anytime soon.

A decent enough pub with respectable lunchtime drinkers on our visit. We got a good welcome from the two barman on our visit and asked if we needed help choosing an ale. There were three handpumps in operation, so we went for the Jennings World's Biggest Liars and Robinsons Mojo, both were ok.
The pubs décor was a mix of traditional and modern, with some colourful photos of various stars from Film and TV, such as Raquel Welch, Bet Lynch, Pat Butcher etc. There were also a couple of brightly upholstered settees in the conservatory. There was also a small patio area on the left hand side. The pub was tired looking in my opinion, with worn and stained looking banquette seating in the front bar, lifting wallpaper and knocked about woodwork.

I quite liked this little pub - friendly and totally unpretentious, with apparent local following but avoiding too much of the tourist trade. Beers were in good nick and traditional pub food in generous portions (served until 19.00). A useful find on the station side of the river.

This pub is in two parts. The old part to the right as you enter and a large extension to the left which is a conservatory. The old part has two comfortable, small rooms, with low beams and period furniture. The new part is all lounge sofa's etc. 3 handpumps on the bar serving a changing range from the Marston's extended stable. I had a pint of Hobgoblin which was in good nick. There was a load of banter going on in both rooms, visitors in the front room and locals in the rear one. All good humoured and amusing. It's a decent pub and we will call back.

Mainly old, timbered, multi room pub although there is a modern extension. The layout is quite jumbled with a main bar and some smaller snug rooms. Three hand pulls with ales from Marstons and its subsiduary companies plus two T bars of the usual keg suspects including Marstons own smooth. My beer was in fine condition. Traditionally furnished with bench seats, Britannia stools and tables. Friendly staff and customers.
