ROB Camra left this review about Stage Door Tap @ The Queen's Royal Hotel

A decent sized bar attached to the left hand side of the Queen's Royal Hotel. There's a nice looking outside area with views of the promenade, this wasn't an option during our visit as it was freezing. The bar looks to have been refurbished recently in a modern style, but quite sympathetically. Lots of B & W photos of New Brighton in its heyday around the walls. 5 cask ales available on our visit and both our beers were in good nick. There were quite a few people in for a Monday lunchtime, so it looks like it's doing alright. We may never visit New Brighton again, but if we did we'd call in here again.

The actual pub part of this hotel is called The Stage Door Tap. There is an entrance to the side of the hotel. There are real ales available and a seating area out front.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Queens Royal Hotel

The Queens Royal has a good reputation for food and is always busy for their carvery. The main front lounge is mainly set up for dining, so we sat in the rear bar. The marble bar counter was new and fitted only a couple of weeks ago. The marble was pink, cream and black in colour. The pub had a homely and relaxed atmosphere and is well supported from it's regulars. There were 6 handpumps, so we went for the Weetwood Best Bitter and Hawkshead Windermere Pale.
