The Old Plough is one of 2 pubs that serve the small village of Ashton-On-Mersey.On entry through the main door there is a small snug to your immediate right with the bar facing you although slightly to the left. There is also a large conservatory area that seems to be mainly geared up for diners and creates more of an L shape to the pub Expect the usual range of Hyde's beers plus a couple of ever changing guest ales.Quite liked this one with the young ones behind the bar pleasant and friendly and the pub served a decent pint of beer.

The Old Plough is a decent pub that was a good walk from the middle of Sale but the walk was worth it as this pub was very nice and there was also another pub almost opposite this one which made up for the walk here.
This pub was fairly smart inside and was the sort of pub i like to have a drink in,this pub is a Hydes tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Hydes bitter and this was a decent drink the other beers were Hydes mild and Hydes Jekyll's Gold.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
