Converted to a Nisa minimart, won't be back as a pub.

My first local 45 years ago. My dad took me there to start my beer education (he went to the opening night two years earlier whilst I was still too young). It was a Greenall Whitley tied house. No Real Ale was served there, but in pre Camra days I would not have known that there was a difference. It had a public bar and a very large cabaret lounge where live entertainment was performed most weekends.

The Lively Lobster is an estate pub that is on the western side of Ashton on Mersey.
Once inside there was a ar and a smarter lounge i had a drink in the bar which was a decent enough room and it wa fairly busy with younger locals.
There were no real ales on here and the bitters available were John Smiths smooth crap and Boddingtons undrinkable rubbish so i had a Guinness.
This is not really a pub to walk out of your way to do like i did.
