Fairy modern Spoons over a hybrid knock-together of two distinctly separate buildings. Tasteful internal décor with duck egg blue shades, the front area is the most characterful before the inevitable opening-out into the classic long and narrow room with that ‘canteen’ feeling. High standards here; well-staffed who were well-drilled and pleasant. Five genuine guest beers, my Kirkstall Dissolution was in decent nick (NBSS 3). So a well-run decent, Spoons on this showing; other JDW branches should come here and see how it's done.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bole Bridge (JD Wetherspoon)

Curious hybrid of a structure, with the western part being a traditional sort of market town building and a larger modern extension containing much of the seating. There aren't a lot of windows along the main facade, but as these are south facing it is still fairly bright indoors (except for the old bit). There is also a reasonably-sized patio area outside. Only four of the ten handpumps on this visit (my first for eight years), but thankfully it was all the dull stuff unavailable... That left Exe Valley Devon Gold, Inveralmond Daracha and two porters: Sambrook's Powerhouse and Backyard Jamestown (£2.15).

On my Saturday lunch visit the pub was extremely busy. No seats were free but this was just a quick stop for me before the footy. This is the nearest pub to the ground but they have a sign outside saying "No Away Supporters", probably after the last Luton visit! (they didn't spot my small FC United badge!). The pub was equally busy on my quick half and loo stop after the match. Hard to see enough to give detailed review.

A small and old frontage on the shopping street but a large hall on the roundabout explains the layout of this fairly standard 'Spoon's. Not a lot of atmosphere but it seemed to be generally well-run and the range of beers was ok.

I found the customers in here to be a very polite bunch. Ten handpumps on our visit, four of which were guests and the remaining ales were the usual suspects, three doubled up. I am not a great fan of Burton Bridge, but have to say their Duck and Dive beer was an excellent choice. We sat down in the new part and if you like watching the local traffic whizzing around the roundabout, through the banks of French windows, then this is the place for you. The interior was carpeted throughout and walls were painted maroon and duck egg blue. All the timber work, including the bar was solid oak. This Spoons was ok for a quick one before hitting the rest of town.

This Spoons is set just off the main shopping area of Tamworth. It was formerly a working man's club although what it may have been before that is anyone's guess. As noted below it appears to be two buildings joined together each with their own entrance. The pub and street name comes from a long gone ancient bridge across the River Anker (I don't have a dodgy keyboard!). The old building entrance takes you up some steps into the more attractive part of the pub with a small seating area to the left and a larger slightly raised area to the right. The bar is on the left as you go through to the more modern building which has an entrance on the right. There are some tall tables and chairs near the bar but the rest of this rather drab rectangular room is furnished with just rows of low tables and chairs making it look rather like a work canteen. At the far end is a patio.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom doubled up, Banks's / Arcadia Angler's Ale, Long Man Sussex Pride, Dorset Midnight Blinder and Ringwood Fortyniner. I went for the Sussex Pride (£2.09) which was in good nick. This is the better of the two Tamworth Spoons but overall it's pretty average.

A large one roomed Wetherspoon's that had a good selection of real ales. The pub has an open and airy feel about it.

The Bole Bridge is a Spoons pub.
Once inside there is a long oblong shaped room with the bar on the front left side, there is a small raised area to the front left, the seating in the main room is normal tables and chairs.
There was a decent choice of real ales on the bar which was slightly spoilt by the american beers on the bar which are brewed in Britain,i will never drink these beers,i had a drink of John Willies 100 from Lees brewery which went down well at 9.20 in the morning.
This spoons seemed is quite smart and had a nice laid back atmosphere,i quite liked this one.

One of the better Wetherspoon's housed in the town centre's old Working Men's Club. Clean and friendly with decent food and well kept beers including guest ales....not bad example at all for this chain

UPDATE: Now offers a 'beer garden' or rather a 'beer backyard'
