traditonal coaching house with many original features and rooms separated by wooden panelling.

Stancill Brewery had a couple of options on and in good condition.

Nice place.

A large old hotel near the river, with wood panelling throughout. On the walls are numerous photos of local cricket teams through the ages.

There's a centrally placed bar featuring half a dozen hand pumps, with one cider and a selection of ales from local breweries such as Hornbeam (of Denton) and Hydes. Several different areas surround the bar, each with their own character, though the furniture was mostly fairly standard tables and chairs. This is an unpretentious pub with a friendly atmosphere.

We had our wedding here in June 2009 and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were amazing, even playing board games with the little ones and letting us have the bar open until later. Food was lovely and the owners cratered for our every need. Highly recommend if you are thinking of having your wedding here.

We attended a wedding function and stayed over for the weekend. Excellent cask ales [11 different ones over the stay], food and service first class. The accomadation was perfect. Would recommend this to anyone.

The Royal Hotel is a large pub that is in a nice setting in the middle of Hayfield.
Once inside i went in a largish room that was quite nice and comfortable the pub was fairly quiet as i got in here just after opening time.
There were five real ales on the bar,i had a drink of a beer called Proud Salopian and this was a very nice drink i also noticed Hydes bitter and three micro beers.
I thought this was quite a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
