Alan Winfield left this review about The Cricketers Arms

The Cricketers Arms is Samuel Smiths tied house which is on Selby's market place.
Once inside there is a single long narrow room which runs to the rear, the room is carpeted and the seating very comfy bench type in bays on the left side opposite the bar with small stools.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Samuel Smiths Old Brewery Bitter, this drink was very cheap at 90p a half and also a very nice drink.
I found this to be a very nice pub,one i would use if i lived local.

Good honest decent boozer. Excellent bitter at at the the best price in town unless you make it yourself.

A large clean and comfortable Sam Smith's boozer with a dominant cricketing theme. Real ale choice is limited to Old Brewery Bitter which, as with many Sam Smiths establishments, is offered at a Wetherspoons matching price. The quality however exceeds many Wetherspoons offerings and on that basis alone the Cricketers is worth dropping into for a slurp.

Bucking Fastard left this review about The Cricketers Arms

A thoroughly decent town centre Sam Smiths house with a large lounge area extending from the front door to a large rear area with the bar to the right.A lot of cricket ephemera adorns the walls with a strong Yorkshire CCC bias and the interior is clean and tidy with seating booths and some higher stools and tables by the front windows, with traditional etched glass.Four handpumps all dispensing OBB at an extemely reasonable £1.59 and Sam Smith supply all keg products including their own draught lager ,so no Stella,Carling,Fosters brands fouling up the bar.Customer base is respectable if a little elderly and I would return if in need of a pint in Selby.
