This is a multi roomed pub that could be quite smart. Sadly it isn't at the moment as there's tat all over the place. For example, there's a dartboard with two more on the floor, storage containers on the seating at 5 on a Friday, wires all over the place which doesn't look very safe. There are 2 handpumps on the bar, but only Doom Bar was on. I asked for a half, but could tell it was off from the smell even before the barmaid finished pulling it. They didn't have anymore available even though they had been delivered another 9 on the Wednesday as no-one had bothered to rack it. Total incompetence all the way. This won't be open much longer unless something changes.

Nice friendly old fashioned pub like they used to be when landlords were landlords and not retailers. Only problem if you blink you miss it going out of Stalybridge and going into Stalybridge you have got passed it without seeing it.
But now i have found it will call back

The Bulls Head is a Local Friendly Pub on Knowl Street in Stalybridge Where Everyone is Welcome. We Have a Wide Selection of Different Beverages on Offer. We are open 7 Days a week, We Open at 4pm on Weekdays and 12pm on Weekends & Are Open Till Late Every Night. We Have Two Rooms With Seating Areas and a Bar, Jukebox, Fruit Machine, Games Machine, Toilet Facilities & an Outdoor Area With Seatings areas and Cover the Sit Under.
We Have Many Events on Offer, Including Sky Sports in HD on 3 Flatscreen TV's and a Large Projector Screen for Fantastic Viewing & a Great Atmosphere. We Also Host a Monthly Open Mic Night on the FIRST THURSDAY of EVERY MONTH Which Have All Been Very Successful & Include Some Great Acts From Some of the Local Musicians, It's a Great Night So Come Down and Enjoy the Beer & Music. We Also Host Other Music Events Such as Irish/American Folk Nights, Different Bands From the Area, BBQ's, Psychic Nights and Many More.

Best Pub in Stalybridge. The New Landlord has really put an effort in to make it a great pub. Got everything you need and great for watching football no matter where you are sat. Even the little things like an open fire in the winter really add a nice touch to the place and everyone who goes in there are really friendly!
I play at the open mic night and its brilliant not just for the people watching it but also for the musicians..... its a blast so everyone should come down!

Great local pub and nice people. Sky tv and all the sport you can watch. The music night (open mic night),is really good with some top quality local acts. I really like the fact anyone can turn up and sing or play, even bands turn up, worth a visit if u like to listen to live music while enjoying a beer or three.

The Bulls Head is a small stone built pub to the east of the town centre and it is close to the huddersfield canal.
This pub had two rooms and i went in a cosy lounge which was very comfortable and homely.This was a Boddingtons tied house and there was one real ale on here which was Boddingtons bitter and this was a nice drink.
I thought this was quite a nice pub.
