As others have commented this is a modern replacement of an old pub on the site and is now the ground floor of an office block. The one large rectangular room has a traditional-looking bar in one counter and has generally been done up in traditional style, eschewing the trend for industrial ducting etc. There are some interesting leather benched tables in the centre. Being a Saturday afternoon, half a dozen TVs were showing Newcastle humiliating Spurs at a loud volume. Alewise it is Greene King with guests: Abbot, IPA, Yardbird, Deuchars IPA, Tiny Rebel Cwtch, and TT Landlord, and at St James's prices too. Actually better than some of the older pubs nearby.

THIS PUB IS A NEW STRUCTURE TO THAT REVIEWED PRIOR TO 2017.

An almost brand-new building, the pub incorporated into the base of an office block. The interior is all fake Victorian dark wood, notional partitions with etched and cut glass, Victorian-style lighting and dark studded banquettes to much of the periphery, with traditional furniture. What wasn’t so traditional was the flashing games machine, four TVs (all unwatched, which along with the ugly ClearChannel board bathed the interior in a foul light) and witless drivel by way of a soundtrack; décor amounted to miscellaneous period prints. Customers were seemingly office workers and all smartly dressed, though plenty with language as foul as the lighting.
An unsurprising ale line-up, with one pump unused, GK IPA, Tribute (‘coming soon’), Portobello Westway Pale (‘coming soon’) and Landlord, which after an interminable wait was told that it was off; a reversed clip wouldn’t have wasted my time, so I left.
There’s nothing of benefit here and there are other better pubs in the area.

I’ve visited the Blue Posts a couple of times to watch the rugby since my first visit back in 2007. After my latest visit, one afternoon between Christmas and New Year, I thought I would give an update. The rectangular open plan interior houses an L-shaped bar counter in the left rear corner. This faces some raised seating in the front left corner and there is more raised seating along the right hand wall. Around the bar are some high tables and beyond more conventional tables and chairs. There are a few televisions that were airing World Championship Darts vis Sky Sports. This was muted in favour of some background music.
The bar supports a premium keg range and 6 hand pumps that were drawing Greene King’s IPA, Rocking Rudolph and Abbot Ale as well as Wadworth’s 6X and TT Landlord. The 6th hand pump was badged with two different Lilley’s real ciders. Greene King’s food menu is on all of the tables, a burger is priced at £13.
I found the service to be very friendly and the pub was comfortable due to not being very busy. I’m sure that I will find myself in here again at some point.

Greene King tied house occupy a street corner position with a few vertical drinking tables to rest your pint outside. The interior is square and has been well decorated. There are two raised sections, and a rank of bench seats in front of the bar.Covid regulations well followed with a T&T QR app which only requires a smart phone and a text message. Some tables have been removed and it felt well organised and clean. However just two real ales in GK Abbott and IPA (tangy,£2.60 the half rip off) with the other handpumps offering two Lilly's real ciders.
There is a corporate GK pub grub menu but although the muzak was calming, the flatscreens were on mute and the walls were covered in interesting prints,I just cannot see myself returning with such an awful ale selection.A few guest ales and who knows, probably too much to ask of GK in this pre vaccine Covid world.

Busiest pub of the day but managed to get a seat and enjoyed the real ale on offer but forgot to write down what it was! Would return.

Update: Despite the comment in my previous review I did find myself back in the other weekend, primarily becuuse the beer choice has improved somewhat from the previous time I was in. Now four pumps regularily on the go and, although largely the usual suspects of Pride, Youngs and Sptfire, the fourth was Woodford Wherry which was a well kept pint.
17th December 2009:
The Blue Posts is a decent looking old fashioned pub just of Piccadilly behind the Ritz.
Wooden floored ground floor bar with a dining room on the first floor. Also has a large awning on the Arlington Street side for outside drinking.
Busy with the after work crowd at the time of my visit so a decent atmosphere. Only Pride and Adnams Broadside on and the Adnams was perfectly fine.
As said this is a decent enough, but largely unremarkable city pub. And more than OK if you do not want to venture far from Piccadilly for a pint.
But cannot see myself bothering again, especially with the more superior pair of ‘Lions' and The Chequers a short stroll around the corner.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Blue Posts

Unremarkable corner pub, not far from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly but not the sort of place that many tourists would stumble across by chance. The interior decor is the traditional dark-wood style so common in former Spirit Group pubs, but the layout means that the bar area is quite cramped. Four real ales on handpumps, mostly usual suspects such as Landlord but the seasonal Adnams Christmas Cheer was on good form. NB - Currently being rebranded by Punch Taverns as a Taylor Walker house.

Roger Button left this review about The Blue Posts

Tucked away in the backstreets south of Piccadilly, the Blue Posts is a fairly ordinary pub catering mostly for local office groups. The exterior shows some ornate touches but parts are beginning to look a bit weatherd. The interior has been knocked through to one largish room with the bar at one end although it can be a fight to get to the bar through the office groups that tend to congregate in front of it. The rear section is a bit quieter and I have usually managed to bag a table here. The décor is quite plain with paneled walls, shallow bay windows with lamps, a few old pictures of local landmarks, large plain mirrors and a couple of flat screen TVs but little that really catches the eye.

There are 4 hand pumps that in the past have conjured up some interesting guest beers although my most recent visit was a more formulaic offering of Youngs London Gold, Deuchers, Spitfire and Rev James. The quality has always been good (they are Cask Marque accredited) and prices about par for the area.

Main meals are around £8-10 with snacks around a fiver and some interesting lunchtime selections at a good value £5.25 (12-3pm)

There are some seats outside on the pavement along with some barrel tables which takes up some of the overspill when it gets quite busy after the local offices turn out. It can have quite a bustling atmosphere which does at least liven up what is, on the whole, a quite ordinary place.

They had GKIPA, Pride and OSH on. The Pride was OK, and not overpriced at around £3 a pint – after all it just behind The Ritz. There are two TV screens – only one was on of a Saturday afternoon, with the sound muted. Furniture is mainly normal tables and chairs, with a handful of high stools around a ledge surrounding a central pillar. This is another one of those pretty decent, if unremarkable, pubs that we seem to have number of in London. Decent décor, decent service, decent beer (I didn't eat there) – decent pub. OK for a pint if you happen to be in the area, but not really worth going out of your way to find.
