Slightly tacky updating of a station bar, with about the only things going for it being a fairly quiet upstairs where there is usually space available, and a proliferation of phone charging points if you are low on juice. On the down side, the sampled Greene King beer was almost undrinkable.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Beer House and Kitchen

Not a lot has changed since the Iron Duke days (when it was a typically awful station 'pub'). Refurbished, but it still has a rather charmless bar area although the mezzanine is a bit more civilised and there is also some more space hidden away in the corners. Further seating is available out on the concourse. Retains three handpumps, but only Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen (£4.35, less 10% BITE card discount) available on this visit. Overall, a minor improvement.

Now refurbished into an imitation hipster craft beer bar complete with barmen with daft haircuts and dafter specs. Brightly lit, loud music, blackboards all over the place, wallpaper pretending to be millions of beermats stuck to the wall, I kid you not. Downstairs a few high tables, upstairs a stark, bare room furnished with church hall cast-offs. Telly was showing a repeat of Flog It, which was fitting. Dog-eared sheaves of paper stuck in clipboards serve as menus.

What do you get? A long line of keg fonts dispensing a large selection of Eurofizz, and a few handpumps on the end, just two in use, Speckled hen and 'house bitter' which I strongly suspect is GKIPA. The 'and Kitchen' bit is ambitious, though I guess a few tourists will be tempted by a £10 Brakes/3663 burger. Tip: the MaccyD's down the platform is a lot cheaper and may well be better.

I suppose it must serve a purpose, though with two Wetherspoon's within 50 yards I'm not sure what. At £3.70 with a BiTE card a pint of Wifebeater is a reasonable price if you're in a blinding hurry I suppose.

This bar is a back passage (in more than one sense) between the Station concourse and the outside world. This passage was, on this occasion, partially blocked by forlorn looking tables and chairs and was guarded at the front by a sleeping drunk. The back was obstructed by a gang of loud smokers. Inside, it's grimy and unappealing, the staff were unable to communicate in either English or their native language (whatever that may have been) and none of the six handpumps was able to dispense anything resembling beer. Well worth trying if you like flat cider, are waiting for a train and don't want to walk 100 yards in any direction to find something a little more pleasant.

This is a lock up type pub and it is one of victoria stations drinking establishments.
i went in the ground level room which was like a typical station bar (i have been in worse).
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Youngs bitter and this was a dcent drink the other beers were London Pride and Bass.
This pub is ok for a quick pint while waiting for a train.

The Pride was OK on my fleeting visit here and Young's Ordinary and Bass were also available alongside a selection of standard lagers. There is a plasma screen in the downstairs bar and another on the wall in the upstairs seating section and both were showing the Sky Sports news feed which was muted.

The barman was pleasant enough and this station pub has access to some outside seating which means that you can have a cigarette.

This place is OK for a pint if there is not enough time to leave the station.
