According to What Pub this is a Mitchell and Butler pub, a company that features in the higher reaches of my AVOID list. The public bar side was closed on my Thursday afternoon visit so I had to endure the food orientated and pretentiously named Jacobite Lounge.
The three hand pumps here had a pathetic choice of just two beers, Deuchars IPA nd Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted. I went for the Bitter and Twisted (£3.40) which was in reasonable nick but dull.
I'll leave this one to the tourists. I can only think it's GBG 2017 listed to make up the branch numbers.

Two room pub (Jacobite lounge and Ben Bar), a quieter left lounge and a more raucous bar to the right, hosting a covers band of varying quality. Bar in both rooms, weirdly only one of them had the full selection clipped (Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted, Deuchars IPA and Red McGregor). My Red McGregor was fine, though was served by offhand staff. Low beams, red walls and a general mix of aged and modern. Apparently there’s a rear decked area affording good views of Loch Linnie. Golf on TV. A fair stop in the context of Fort William and I may have preferred it more at a quieter time.

David Ross left this review about Ben Nevis Inn

Named in honour of the British Isles' highest mountain nearby, this is an appropriately large establishment, consisting of four separate sections. At street level are the Ben Bar and the Jacobite Lounge, although there is not much to choose between them in terms of comfort, customers or décor. Upstairs is the Munro Restaurant and outdoors, up a flight of steps, the “Beer Deck,” provides panoramic views over Loch Linnhe and the mountains above the opposite shore (which don't include Ben Nevis as it's on the other side of the pub). In the Ben Bar, a pint of Tennent's lager cost me £3.10. San Miguel and Carlsberg lagers, Strongbow and Somersby ciders, Guinness and Belhaven Best are also on tap while three hand pumps dispense East Coast Ale, Deuchars IPA and Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted. This is, understandably, a very busy and popular place, but with sufficient room to cope with a sizeable clientele.

Well what can I say about this place I have travled up and down the country and am yet to have a worse meal than the poor excuse for a microwave meal that I had here overcharged rubish,There website says best ales in the small village but I dont know who tasted them (dishwater in my opinion)I dont think the place has had a good clean for a while either with a sad empty atmosphere this poor excuse for pub meal is by far the worst ive had in scotland,Dont even get me started on what they call service maybe they were having an off night but I wont be going back to find out John and Linda should be ashamed with the place.I stayed in fort william two nights and had a cracking meal in the grog and gruel just across the road on the second night its no wonder they were so quite in the ben nevis bar also the prices leave alot to be desired you can get a microwave meal for a couple of pound and belive me it would be better

One of the best bubs i'v ever been in, excellent food, good beer, good wines, great service, good live music and all at a reasonable price, what more could you ask for.
