This is a quirky pub, to put it mildly. It's something of a ribbon of a pub, with the bar area on the left, and in a separate large room on the right is an area used for live music. The stag's head is still there, as is the copper Heath Robinson contraption on the bar counter that looks like a still. The tables and chairs are of the normal variety, and the ceiling has probably the most rubbish example of brewer's rustic that I've seen.

I don't think that it can be home to the Monkey Chews brewery any more, as the only two ales on were Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute (£1.95 a half), with the Tribute being of poor quality. I would say that this pub is worth a visit for novelty value only.
