Rex Rattus left this review about The Little Crown

There was no real ale on when I visited, but I did spot a reversed Doom Bar clip on the sole handpump. No great loss I reckon. The pint of Guinness I had for £3.45 was in good condition as well as being reasonably priced. A blackboard at the back advertised "our new craft beers", such as Brewdog IPA, Anchor Steam Beer, Brooklyn Lager, plus one or two others. I didn't see them on tap, so I guess they must have been available in bottles. I didn't see any sign of food on Wednesday lunchtime. On the subject of adverts, there was also an advert for an Ann Summers party here - it's good to see a pub or bar boosting its revenue by branching out into alternative forms of entetainment.

This is a single-room "Irish" pub, with Guinness bunting draped along the bar gantry, a Republic of Ireland flag on the wall at the back; a wooden harp set on one of the walls; and some Irish sporting photographs featuring one of the Cork Ladies Football Team at Croke Park. The furnishings were pretty ordinary, being mainly brown plastic upholstered banquettes along the sides, plus some normal tables and chairs.

This is as basic a pub as you're likely to find. It struck me as a drinkers' pub; I was in soon after midday and there were several drinkers already in there and it didn't look like they'd just arrived. It was handily placed as I strolled past just after midday, but I don't expect to pay a return visit.
