Not a bad place this in its day when we'd call in after a meal at next door's Ciro's Pizza Pomodoro, but I don't think I've been in here since the early '90s.
Shame.

What's going on here? As we're in one of the most exclusive shopping streets in Europe you expect the pub to have something about it. As RP says a contrast between outside and in and at lunchtime certainly inside is dark, dank and depressing. Just a group of young Sloaney women loudly discussing their domestic arrangements and couple of people, like me, stopping for a quick one, and the barman staring blankly at Sky news on a flickery projection TV. You'd think, with thousands of tourists an hour passing by that they'd make it a traditional fake olde English pub complete with 'arrangements' with tour group leaders to bring people here for lunch. Clearly such imagination is beyond them Indeed any sign of any imagination at all is conspicuously absent. Even Punch can do better than this.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Beauchamp

Bit of a contrast between the tablecloths and napkins for those people eating out the front and the split-level 'distressed' wood interior. The low sofas and padded stools won't be to everybody's taste, but it seemed pretty popular with a young crowd. Limited food menu, but not as expensive as I was expecting. Three handpumps - GKIPA, Skinners Cornish Blonde (badly overpriced at £3.80, and served too warm) and another one disused.

Modern looking bar from the outside, well it does to me. Inside not bad, though the music was a bit loud. Has a ladies night, not if that means ladies only or men can only go in the company of a lady. Had Skinners Ale on tap.
