Fairly large but entirely predictable family restaurant occupying the ground floor of the Premier Inn in a retail/industrial park. The area to the left of the counter feels slightly more bar-like than the rest of the place, but otherwise it is typical Beefeater. Two handpumps present but just Doom Bar on offer.

The Millfield is a Beefeater found adjacent to the Premier Inn I stayed at during a recent visit to York. The bar area is L shaped and the actual bar supports a range of standard draught and one hand pump that was drawing Black Sheep. Beyond the bar is a large seating/dining area that I would have thought is mainly used by hotel guests. To be honest I doubt that any local inhabitants use this place as a pub, although it is a family friendly environment so maybe young families use it as a restaurant.
There was some background music playing and the plasma screen was showing muted rolling news. The barmaid was polite, but she was running the bar and waitressing the tables so service was a little hit and miss.
