The Brea Inn is indeed open again. The kitchen is refurbished and food is being served lunchtimes and evenings.
For more details you can look at the pubs own website www.breainn.com - I'm a local to the pub and visit regularly.

Brea Inn is open again and serving Doom Bar!! It looks great inside with the bar area as you walk in, and up a few stairs to a dining area, and there are some wooden stairs to another small room. The landlord is doing the outside garden area up, and there will be food again soon.

Walked into Brea at the end of a walk looking forward to a drink, but found the pub was closed with newspapers over the windows and the glass in the door. Letterbox had wood fastened over it. Don't know how long it has been closed but someone said it has been up for sale for a while.

Lovely friendly pub serving local beers. Had Skinners Sennen which was not as good as it should be, and an excellent Keltek Magik. The pub is a little difficult to get to and we got off the 14 near Pool on the Camborne / Redruth road and walked to it on roads that were a bit iffy in places, probably just under a mile. The pub itself was comfortably furnished with a bar area on one level and a higher level with a dining area. Mining and Farming artifacts decorate walls and shelves.

Sorry, haven't visited Pubs Galore since I changed my computer 18 months ago. Unfortunately The Brea Inn has lost Rachel who has been replaced by the Landlords new boyfriend and the service has suffered. I am afraid I can now only give it a seven.

A very friendly local pub, good food, a good selection of beers, a friendly new landlord ( plus his dog Neo and parrot Wobbles) and the best barmaid in Cornwall, Rachel. Highly recommended
