The Goose is a decent looking pub that is joined onto Bradwells and very handy for Romford train station.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar on the left side, the room is carpeted and the seating normal tables and chairs.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Thwaites Magic Sponge which went down well, the other beers were Black Sheep bitter,Hobgoblin and Doom Bar.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.

Although there were 4 real ales on with the Doombar being in good form this is not a very impressive pub just a basic square room with very little atmosphere.

I’m not a big fan of this pub Company’s outlets, but this one was much better than I have previously encountered – even though the Guinness was below par. There are three hand pumps with Greene King IPA, Bombardier and Marstons EPA all being available during my recent weekday visit. There is also a wide selection of standard lagers on offer from the vast array of draught taps. There is a bit of a Wetherspoons feel with lots of deals on cheap food and the beer is priced reasonably. A plasma screen was being installed at the rear of the pub for the World Cup, but there is no Sky Sports and I imagine the plasma will be taken down after the football has finished.

There is a nice sized beer garden out the back that has some covered and uncovered seating and also a hut which may be used as a BBQ or maybe for serving bottles on busy hot summer days.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink here again as it is quite bland, but it is in a handy location across the road from Romford Rail Station.
