Steve C left this review about Alfresco

Al Fresco is an Italian restaurant on the beach front in Brighton. The menu is priced at the top end for the area with the pizzas averaging at around £12. The main dining area is at street level on the top floor of the art deco building which Al Fresco occupies. Downstairs there is a small bar with a tiled floor that gives a Mediterranean feel. During the summer this downstairs bar opens up onto the beach and some café seating. Part of the bar area was cordoned off for a private function during my recent sunny Saturday afternoon visit. The bar is stocked with standard draught alongside Peroni and I found the service to be friendly enough.

This place doesn’t get as busy as the other places along Kings Road Arches as it is the furthest from the pier. This is the sort of place I would take the wife for a special occasion. I wouldn’t return just for a beer again.

Please note that my rating is for the downstairs bar and not the upstairs restaurant or food that I didn’t visit or try.
