This review is from my visit to this little gem situated just off the M62 in July 2015

It was 5pm on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty packed with a lot of punters eating as well as a healthy crowd at the bar drinking & chatting.

For anyone that's been here they will know just what the interior is like, its a treasure trove, an Aladdin's cave, a complete mish mash of everything from stuffed animals to old magazines to grandfather clocks to 1970's computer consoles to tin steam engines....its mental but excellent & I love it.

3 ales on the hand pumps, the very helpful barman offered a sample of each of the ales, all of them tasted in fine form & I plumped for a pint of Brains Punch @ 4.0%.

Great beer, good service, out of the way location and a bonkers collection of stuff...what a great pub….If you haven't been you must visit.

been to this Pub a few times when we visit friends in N-le-W and must agree with Duncan Jackson, pleasant location, different menu and a good choice of Ales & Wines, not the most hygienic place in the area and could with a cleaner, and maybe the staff could do with a make over,, but very quirky, (I think I got bit with a flea off the stuffed wild life?) What really really got my back up was, we had spent over £92.00 and, we was the only table in the pub that never got the offer of Cheese & biscuits? WHY? They're complementarity and was always offered before? They where on ever table and around the bar area's apart from ours and some of the other customers had only just turned up? Unfortunately this as put the blocks on the future visits to this establishment and I'll spend my money else where

This is a quirky pub in many ways, disappearing under WW2 memorabilia and teddy bears, and I’ve never ordered a pint of Bear’s Arse before. Surrounded by fields it’s a pleasant location.
The menu a bit different too, lots of meat pudding & pies, all excellent as are the beers & wines.
