Big student chain pub at the heart of the Friargate strip. Main bar to the left plus a games room which I didn’t explore. the bar is quite dark but has several brighter areas as the pub stretches back. Two handpumps clipped with a Lilleys cider and some superhero ale which was 6.1% and over £5 a pint. It also advertises craft but it’s very mainstream stuff really - Brewdog, Tiny Rebel, Thornbridge, Beavertown etc. I tried a Brewdog pale beer which was pretty tasteless. Loudmouths swearing at the football match on TV and Ed Sheeran singing Candle In The Wind was my cue to move on. Pretty uninspiring, I doubt I would have liked it when I was a student either. It’s like a Wetherspoons that wants to be trendy but… it just isn’t.

Still a studenty pub judging by decor there are lots of pictures and a wall painted like a Beavertown can, we were the only punters in on a Saturday morning. Four pulls, two with beer, two with cider and perry, five taps labelled 1-5 Craft kegs and the usual range of mundane UK kegs. Ok on a crawl.

Largeish open plan pub. Sparsely decorated and wooden floors. This is probably due to it being aimed at students and therefore making it easier to clean up the 'accidentally' spilt ale that students are fond of spilling when they can't take anymore.

Very popular with students due to the special offers on drinks during the week. Seem to remember them having a giant Jenga game at the back of the place.
