Adjacent to St Michael’s Church, the Church Inn has a central bar counter on the rear wall that supports premium keg alongside Carling and four hand pumps. The Deuchars was off which left GK Yardbird (passable) and Old Speckled Hen as well as TT Landlord as the cask options. The interior is split into smaller seating areas, which works quite well because during my recent midweek evening visit there were people playing poker in one area, people sitting quietly with some background music in another and people watching pre-match football commentary in another. There is also a dartboard found to the far right. I liked it in here, but one thing that lets it down is the pedestrian range of ale.

This oddly shaped John Barras pub is just a short walk from Flixton railway station and appears much larger from the outside than what it does from the inner. There were quite a few diners opting for the 2 meals for a tenner deal, and others just sampling a pint of one of the 3 cask on show.(Bombardiar,Old Peculiar and Titanic's Iceburg).

There's been a pub here nearly as long as there's been a church. Quaint little place for a quiet drink.
