Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Heeltap

Not been in for over seven years, but having just missed a train and expecting all the many other pubs and bars looking very full, I thought I would re-visit to see whether things had changed. However, the over-bright lighting and surfaces remain, and thus it is rather different to most Davy's outlets, which tend to be dingy basement premises. The layout features an 'U'-shaped bar with a side room (not always in use), and is set down a bit at both front and back (meaning that the popular yard shared with the George is located up a few steps). As expected, just Spitfire (£4.25) available from the two handpumps on the sides of the counter, but at least they don't serve beer in the disgusting metal tankards that most Davy's use. NB - Review dates from two days before the horrific events nearby on London Bridge and in Borough Market, which is a sobering thought...

Across the courtyard from The George it's quite a soulless modern building. 2 real ale taps but covered in Halloween guff so don't know the beers and if they where on or off. Food served.

I L left this review about The Heeltap

A modern bar with two ales on but quite oftrn they are either stale or chilled to much but at least you can get real ale in what is basically a wine bar. often have staff standing around the outside seating stopping people bringing pints of much better ale from the George across the square!

Fell into here as it was impossible to get served in the George, which is probably the main reason for being here. Has an ale or two on though, and some quiet corners away from the crush.
