A York Brewery terraced pub in white rendered brick and red frontage. There is a small patio at the back, which, as ROB said was flooded and the poor barman had to keep going out and sweeping the water away!

The interior is an L shape around the serving bar with the part by the entrance being a dining area. Walk past the serving bar and on a slightly higher level there is a bar area. The decor is a mix of yellowy/cream, red, undressed brick, stone flag floor and a few beams. There are barrels used for tables and plenty of execution pictures and ephemera on the walls. There was no TV that i saw and the music was general and at a decent level. The service was fine and a small, but mixed clientele.

Beer; tap stuff with Tork Brewery's Blonde, Terrier, Centurion's Ghost, Guzzler and Constantine. I tried them all, as well as the guest Nook Brewhouse Best - but this had turned and i took it back, it was changed without quibble.

Again, another York winner. Another pub you could stay in for hours - mind you, we did.

A conversion (from a solicitors office apparently) it retains big clear windows in the front section of the pub, which mainly serves as a dining area, this is probably the most food oriented of the three York Brewery pubs. Up a short flight of stairs to the back is the bar counter with bench seating and barrel tables, further back to the side is a conservatory. Six handpumps arranged in pairs along the counter serve the York range in good nick and a single guest, a neat range of international bottles are also available as well as two T Bars of kegs and a ceramic fount of something European. Bar service and table waiting have to be combined so the service can suffer at busy times. The toilets are upstairs reached by a staircase in the front room.

This is a York brewery house that is set in a fairly nice location and in my opinion is the best of the three York Brewery pubs.
The pub looks older inside than what it is, there was a good choice of York beers plus a few guest beers we had a drink of Yorkshire terrier and this was a very nice drink and i would have happily stayed here for a few more drinks.

Judging by the pub sign, the name thankfully doesn’t refer to a beer shortage, but is a black humour reference to being hanged as the “last drop”. It seems to be a York Brewery pub, and I had a reasonable pint of England’s Pride in here. It’s a pub of two halves – the front part is very light due to the large windows at the front, while the rear portion, which is up a few stairs to where the bar counter is located is more gloomy. There are some chunky solid wood tables, settles, normal chairs, and beer barrels as tables coupled with high stools for seats. Walls are that sort of orange nicotine colour, and flooring is fake boarding. This has the look of a converted shop (might not be, but that’s what it looks like), and is a sort of contrived pub that has something of the look of a Spanish bar about it. Having said that it’s not a bad pub – the service was friendly enough and it does do some decent ale, even if a couple of pumps were not in use during my visit. It’s an “OK” pub, but not really worth going out of your way to visit in my opinion.

Real Ale in this York Brewery House from York Brewery and guests.
Small split level one bar pub with a food offering.
Wolf Coyote was the guest beer on my visit and was in excellent condition.
Erdinger and Becks on tap along with two others from Eastern Europe and a range of bottled imports.
Part of LocAle.
