Tris C left this review about The Long Acre

This was the Cranbourn Hotel & Tavern in 1848 and is grade II-listed.
It’s now more of a late style bar/nightclub now, but a couple of pulls were spotted. I only really went in because this was a minor legend in its time, when in the early ‘70s, it was a major Watney’s Schooner Inn theme pub, called The Frigate, which apparently plumbed the depths of bad taste; I gather there was ‘rigging’ which moved, with staff dressed as pirates!
Today, it's a mix of massive styles - too many to document - and is set on several floors. There may be a theme here, but I couldn't decipher it; the fit-out must have cost a fortune.
Ales: Pride and London Original at £2.50 a half, which is positively charitable given the type of venue and Ground Zero West End nightlife location.
I’ll not be back, but I wish I’d gone 50 years earlier.

No real ale and the usual keg offerings - this place will no doubt get packed on a night but it's not a place for me.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Scarlet's

Modern bar on the fringes of Covent Garden, with a club in the basement. Generally dark furniture and decor in the square-ish main seating area and small mezzanine above. Not the sort of place where you would expect to find real ale, so you won't be disappointed there, but there a two Meantime offerings - Pale Ale (£5.30) and London Lager - amongst the keg taps and a couple of Curious Brew beers in bottled form. NB - Appears to charge for entry later on in the evening, but not earlier in the day.
