Old Boots left this review about The Warner Arms

A charming Regency looking building on the outside, inside a roughly rectangular space with the odd vestigial wall. Laminate floors and plain cream and tatty grey walls with odd panelling. Raised areas at both ends from former rooms, there are two pool tables in different bits of the same area. You’ll expect screens and machines and won’t be disappointed, there’s a very big pull down screen on one vestigial wall and of course a DJ booth of sorts. Four unused pulls, a couple of T-bars and some solos, nothing to see here, move along.

The refit referred to below appears to have been money well spent, as this is a smartly presented pub that appears to be doing a good trade. I was here at around midday on a Saturday and it was already pretty busy. There are two hand pumps, which were serving Lancaster Amber and Tetleys Gold at the time of my visit. The Amber was in good condition and at only 98p for a half, a welcome step back in time.

Its a fairly decent pub. A couple of real ales were on. A large open plan pub that had a few offshoot areas. Its next door to a hideous new style bar.

After a lengthy closure, the Warner Arms has reopened after a £250,000 refit by Bravo Inns who are a small independent pub company that own another 3 pubs in the area. The pub is classed as a "community pub"and quite a decent job has been undergone with smart wooded furniture, various spacious seating areas and a large pleasant outdoor drinking area at the rear.Called in early on a Saturday and already the pub was doing a fair trade. on the bar were the usual suspects plus a couple of cask beers with the Thwaites Wainwright on top form.
