Will Larter left this review about The Railway

An interesting double building, with the larger one on the left having an arch leading to a courtyard at the rear (now a car park and beer garden), with the date 1891 prominently displayed; the smaller building on the right has two bay windows and I would guess this is the original pub. Once inside, there is no distinction apart from a slightly higher ceiling. It was very busy, with rugby league fans enjoying a pre-match drink. There's no real ale, as I knew, and I asked for a half of Guinness; on being told they could only do me a pint (they have the widget system for 440ml cans, so not really a pint either), I asked for Stella instead and was given a pint. A bit of a communication breakdown there, but it was all dealt with in a very friendly manner and I ended up with a half of Stella for £1.58 (it's £3.05 for a pint!). This was the most tightly packed space I have been in for nearly two years, with little by way of ventilation (and the toilets were rather smelly too) so I drank up as quickly as possible, given the cold and fizzy nature of my drink.

WOW, no real ale but this Caines pub mudst be the best value around to make up for it with beer at £1-3- a pint!!!
One long bar split into two all basic but with many historic prints of the area on the walls.
Beer garden and car park to rear (drive through the arch).
Next to the station and accross the road from the Rugby Ground. Can get very busy on match days.
