Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Mines Tavern

Looks like its always been a traditional two-bar pub, but it was apparently converted from the former Laxey mine captain's house. Relatively plainly-decorated inside (to the point of appearing rather run down), until you look more closely at one of the counters which is shaped and painted to look like a tram body. In good weather, the wooden tables in the beer garden overlooking the comings and goings of the combined Manx Electric Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway station are probably the best spot. As a Heron & Brearley house, Okell's MPA and Bitter (£2.93) available from the total of six handpumps on the two bar counters.

Run by the chef, with years of experience. Lovely olde worlde feel, pictures posters real ale bar like a tram... Smack on the station, train spotter's dream. The beer is wonderful!! Could be HAUNTED!
