Ian Mapp left this review about The Imperial Inn

C20th Century building but in a Mock Tudor style.

The cask marque app led me here - which I know is not necessarily the best source of recommendation.

There were no other punters. It had a chainy feel to the place. Initially surprised that there were four Hand Pulls on - Doombar, Tribute not unexpected but the Goffs Cheltenham Gold was.

Feared for the lack of turnover but it was a delicious pint, well kept, clear as a bell and excellent lacings throughout.

Not a bad pint had on a five pub crawl.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Imperial Inn

Interesting looking old building, although much modernised inside and extended at the back. Various seating / dining areas in a slightly split-level arrangement, with a substantial covered patio area at the back plus additional wooden benches in the original side alleyway. Just Greene King IPA and Doom Bar available from the various handpumps, but at least the latter only cost £2.49.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Imperial

Large mock tudor pub in the centre of Town. We called in on Saturday lunchtime and the pub was very busy with food. The pub consists of an L shaped room, with a decent size conservatory to the rear. A few details of interest, were the small leaded glass windows which ran along the oak panelling on right of entrance. There was also some tudor design oak panelling on the facing wall and oak parquet flooring around the perimeter of the bar.
There were 9 handpumps with a choice of 5 different ales. I went for the Brecon Brewery Copper Beacons, which was in excellent condition.

Richard Arwkrite left this review about The Imperial

Town centre pub with difficult wheelchair access.Large bar area on two levels and a pleasant patio. During the day its used by all ages with an affordable menu but I thought the drinks more expensive than most locally. The younger set take over the place on the evenings at weekends.
