After a marathon walk from Walton on Thames railway station I found this pub a fairly decent drinking hole. One part is a pub like place and the other part is more of a restaurant. Two of the usual suspect Young's and Fuller's were on with the Mary Jane being in very good form.Easy to knock with the Surrey set being in attendance but on the whole not a bad watering hole.

Someone has spent some serious money taking this place far up-market. Now primarily a restaurant for the well-heeled and not the place for a few beers (although to be fair the Taylor's Landlord was in excellent condition).

The pub is built on land which was used for hunting by King Henry VIII and local legend has it that it is here he trysted with Ann Boleyn during the many years they were not permitted to marry.
The Oatlands Chaser was first known as The King’s Manor Hotel, which is testament to the pub’s connection with Tudor royalty.
Weybridge offers many attractions including Elmbridge Museum which has a host of exhibitions and archives. Cliff Richard fans will enjoy a wander round the town as he owns a property there and has often been spotted around the Weybridge area. An unusual claim to fame is part of the first racing track in England and the oldest air booking office in the world still remain at Weybridge.
