Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart

Being on the A25, this has probably always been more than the village pub it now claims to be, and with a modernised (if semi-traditional) multi-room room interior, it certainly now resembles something like unbranded Vintage Inn in the M&B portfolio. Having said that, on a fine late-spring Saturday afternoon, the substantial and leafy rear beer garden was understandably the place to be. Beer-wise, Doom Bar (£4.45) was the only real ale available from a total of six handpumps, so that let things down considerably.

Rex Rattus left this review about The White Hart

This is a large pub with plenty of separate, but inter-connected, eating and drinking areas. Quite a lot of the tables were set for diners, although sufficient remained for those just wanting a drink. It’s been thoroughly modernised now, and could be regarded as quite luxurious in a hotel lounge kind of way. The chairs in one of the dining areas were covered in some sort of animal fur (the real thing by the look of it) which would undoubtedly go down like a lead balloon with the animal rights lobby. But otherwise the furnishings seemed quite user friendly and very comfortable. There is a decent sized car park at the side of the pub, and a large beer garden at the rear. Interestingly, it seems that this was a favourite haunt of RAF Battle of Britain heroes serving at nearby RAF Biggin Hill during WWII, judging by the old black and white photographs on display, as well as the chalkboard (it would have been a blackboard in those days) signed by personnel who had served there.
Real ales on were London Pride, Doom Bar and Harveys Bitter. My Doom Bar was a bit hazy, but drinkable. However this pub is most definitely food orientated. The only thing on the menu that could be described as pub grub is the burger and chips, which at £10.95 is certainly in the gastropub price range. The word “jus” also featured somewhere on the menu, which is another sure sign of gastropub-itis. No sandwiches were on offer; but the food quality was pretty good, though in my view not really value for money for the prices being charged. But there is clearly a market for this sort of “upmarket” foody pub, as this one was doing a very good trade on a sunny and warm Monday afternoon. In essence, the pub was OK, and is a good stopping off point if visiting any of the National Trust properties in this area, but I think that next time I’ll probably give one of the other pubs in this area a try.
