Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Black Pig
The prominent 'Pub and Dining Rooms' signage does its job - shouting "gastro pub" at you before you get anywhere near the front door. Thankfully, though, there is a clear distinction between the front bar (and additional seating in a small side area) and the dining rooms beyond. The decor and furniture is quite well done, but certainly won't appeal to traditionalists. Fancy-looking menu with a very strong emphasis on locally-sourced products. As usual, just Harvey's (£3.90) from the pair of handpumps.

I popped into the Black Pig Monday afternoon a couple of weeks ago and after standing at the bar of this VERY gastro pub for a couple of minutes without catching sight of another living soul I left and walked around the corner to the Bedford where I was promptly served a decent pint. I obviously didn’t have a good look around, but I’m not a fan of lounge music and I hate being left hanging. I also thought that the four handles on the bar were dispensing lager, but it seems that two of them were potentially drawing ale, damn those new trending hand pumps.
I’m still glad that I left though and I do not plan a return visit as in my opinion there are far better proper pubs in Tunbridge Wells.
