Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Rockin Robin Smokery

This pub has had a bumpy ride in recent years, with a poor reputation and several periods of closure and being used as a café at one stage, but its relaunch by the local Rockin Robin Brewery was good news for a large village now with just one other pub. The interior looks nothing like the old Royal Oak, having been opened out into a single room during the Pride of Kent incarnation, and has had a major makeover with light, semi-modern furniture and decor. There are also a couple of benches on the front patio. However, whilst it opened as a 'smokery', it now seems to be operating as a bar (perhaps temporarily?). Two of four handpumps in use, dispensing Reliant and Reckless (£4.00).

Wow!!! Lovely. What else can I say, beautifully decorated, very comfortable furnishings, beer garden. The owners dogs are very entertaining!!!
No Sky TV, jukebox, pool tables, fruit machines...... just a good well run pub.
Two pumps, one Young's Bitter which is the regular. A jolly good pint of Bombadier which is soon to be Black Sheep Ale as I'm told by the landlord.

Right, went past The Pride of Kent, and it is closed for refurbishment and has been taken over by new owners. I couldn't see in to have a nose about what's going on in there. I have been told by a passer by that it's going to open soon! This is exciting, I will make another journey here when it re-opens to see what changes have been made and what beers are available. Watch this space !!!

Let's just say that if Kent is proud of this grot-hole, I'd hate to see something of which Kent is ashamed.

I'll be generous and give the place 3/10, which will actually bring it's score up.
