Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Man of Kent

This side-street pub used to make a pleasant-enough change from some of the more obvious venues along the nearby High Street. It is a traditional building in the local style, with white weatherboarding at first-floor level below the tiled roof. The original layout of tiny rooms has been opened out a bit at some stage with seating on two levels and a link behind the bar, but all looking increasingly tatty. It also has a little patio beer garden out back. Just Doom Bar (£4.80) available from the pair of handpumps on this revisit.

Steve C left this review about The Man Of Kent

I popped into the Man of Kent early on a recent Friday evening to find half a dozen regulars around the bar. I found the bloke working the bar, who I assumed to be the governor, to be less than welcoming. He actually managed to serve me without uttering a single word.

The interior of the pub consists of the aforementioned bar that is located at the front of the pub to the left of an inglenook in the right hand wall. To the left of the bar is a separate area that houses a dartboard. Steps lead up to the rear of the pub where seating runs along the width of the building. The Thursday evening quiz is heavily advertised and I also spotted an advertisement for an upcoming England European qualifier, therefore Sky Sports must be available. I do not recall the televisions being on during my visit, but there was some random background music playing. Out the back of the pub is a patio garden with picnic tables.

The bar was stocked with standard draught and the two hand pumps were both drawing Harveys’ Best. I did not see any food advertised.

I hate rude service so I will not be visiting here again anytime soon.
