Will Larter left this review about The Sneyd Arms

Although a little bit of a walk out of the town centre, this one is worth the energy expended. Appearance-wise it's a fairly ordinary roadside pub of a certain age in Brewers Tudor. Once inside there are two separate rooms, each with their own entrance (though it is possible to go from one to the other - via some steps - without leaving the building). The public bar was a bit noisy with some pop music at a too loud volume, so having ordered my beer I asked the landlord to put it on the other bar while I walked round. There are two hand pumps in the public and four in the lounge, which is a lot quieter and also more comfortably furnished, a bit of a throwback. The beers are nationally available brands; the half of Courage Directors I had was in superb condition. The landlord, ex-Leeds, was happy to talk about the demise of Tetleys and obviously knows his beers. (Sneyd is pronounced sneed, not snide or snaid.)

Alan Winfield left this review about Sneyd Arms

The Sneyd Arms is a stand alone pub that is situated just outside the town centre to the south west, the pub is also opposite the Waggon and Horses.
Once inside there was a long lounge to the left which went to the rear of the pub, this room had a low ceiling and was carpeted and had comfy bench seating facing the bar.
There was a smaller bar to the right which was fairly basic.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bass which was a very nice drink, the other bers were Pedigree,Jennings Cumberland and Hobgoblin.
The pub was quite busy with a decent mixed bunch in on my late Saturday afternoon visit.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.
