Blue Scrumpy left this review about Ploughshare

The last time I tried to visit this village pub in summer 2017, it was well and truly closed. Saved by the community, it has re-opened.

Just one other customer was present when we arrived. A couple of others arrived to chat and exchange items of some kind and when we left, we left the barmaid and chef alone again.

There are a couple of rooms and the village shop is attached to the building too. The local Beeston Worth The Wait is the regular beer, whilst the guest was Greene King Abbot. My Worth The Wait was in good condition, if not a little on the cold side. There is no longer a real cider.

Nicely done out village pub that was quiet on my visit, but can get very busy, by all accounts.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ploughshare Inn

Traditional village pub, with a compact bar area and an even smaller dining room beyond. Also has a separate pool room near the entrance. Fairly basic furniture but sparse decor. Comforting hubbub of friendly conversation. Four handpumps, with beers including On the Huh and Worth the Wait from the local Beeston Brewery and Hogans Pickers Passion cider.
