A large pub that looks great from the outside. Its not too bad once you're in either. A few cask ales on on friendly enough to have a drink in.

The Millstone is a large pub that is on a very busy road junction in what looks like the middle of Darwen.
The pub was quite smart inside with a largish room that had probably been opened out at some time,the room was carpeted and also empty on my early dinner time visit.
This pub is a Thwaites tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Thwaites bitter and this was a decent drink.
This was a decent enough pub to start my Darwen crawl in.
