Popped in a couple of weeks back - what a transformation! No longer a Hall & Woodhouse pub, the place has been gutted and tastefully refitted. The front bar was a nice place to sample the beers (Rebellion Mild and a guest) and say hello the resident hound. The back room looked to be more of a public bar-type area, think there was pool and darts in there. The beer was decent and priced at £3. Staff were friendly. Would call again.

Friendly community local, serving Hall & Woodhouse (AKA Badger) brews in variable states. The smoking ban has shown up how tired-looking three ‘areas’ inside are. Needs a bit of TLC but really could be a contender if the landlord applies himself. It certainly is better than its near-neighbour.

Great pub if you are after a beer and a game of pool with a friend. Not so much a family pub as a drinking pub but very friendly atmosphere.
