Recently reopened under new management after a short period of closure.
On entry there is a small beamed lounge with bench seating and a bar filling the far wall. To the right, a door leads to a much larger vault area served by the hatch at the bar end. The large screen TV was showing sports on this Saturday lunchtime. The vault also has a dart board and a slot machine. The Jennings Cumberland Ale from the sole handpump was on fine form making this pub a recent "Real Ale gain".

after a couple of closures and real ale losses, the Swan is back on course again selling two Real Ales.
