The Queens has just been taken over by private owners, saving it from Enterprise closing the pub. It has been fully renovated by its new owners and cask beer has been introduced from the local Plassey Brewery. Accommodation has also been reintroduced. To the right of the entrance is a small snug. Taking the left hand door takes you into the large lounge which is occasionally used for live music. A very large games room runs along the rear of the pub where darts and pool can be played. All rooms are served by a central bar. The pub is only a ten minute walk from the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct world heritage site.
UPDATE- 09/06/2015
This is still a much better pub since the new landlord took over but he couldn't tempt enough people to drink the Real Ale. This has now been taken off. Having 3 keg bitters did not help and the handpump should have been placed in a better position to promote the beer. For this reason I will dock 2 points off the rating.

A reasonable village pub. It seemed very white inside. Multi roomed and an excellent view out front. There were 2 handpumps but neither were on.
