A small friendly local tucked away. Served one real ale. A small beer garden out back and a table out front. A pleasant little pub.

A locals local with a small central corridor where there is bar access. To the left is a seating area with benches and a small raised area with a flatscreen, off during my trip.To the right of the corridor are two virtually private rooms one to the front, one to the rear both with their own bar access. This is a family run pub and it appears the landlord is also a grandfather,so the presence of buggies, childrens books and toys in the two small room indicates their dual function. We stayed put in the main area with the quarry tiled floor.
Although there were three handpumps ,only Facers Clywd Gold was available, decent enough pint. It's in the GBG and serves the local community well.Downhill from Trevor Basin on the Llangollen Canal.

Hidden away on a narrow quiet lane at the edge of the town. A small basic three roomed locals pub served fron a central three sided bar. The smoking area overlooks a fast flowing mill stream. The pub is near the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which carries the Llangollen Canal 127 metres above the River Dee.
The two Real Ales are usually from local micros. The quality merits inclusion in the Camra National Good Beer Guide.
