Smaller inside than the outside suggests. Entering from the Main Street to the right is an L shaped bar with counter and seating in the long arm along the front of pub, and a pool table in the short arm. There's a lounge/dining room to left, labelled lounge but pretty much just dining. Pseudo Victorian decor, there are three big screens dotted about, a juke box and a fruit machine loiter near the pool table. Four pulls but only two were running, Timothy Taylor's Landlord on one and Fullers London Pride on the other, a Black Sheep Bitter clip was reversed on a third. I didn't think the Landlord was quite GBG standard as there was a faint taste of geraniums about it. Usual rash of national kegs on clusters at each end. The counter is identical to the one at the Cross Keys in Knaresborough having a brass handrail held in elephant's trunks.

This Pub has re-opened. They normaly have two real ales on tap. Friendly service.
