Al Bundy left this review about Park Place

Improved since my last visit, which was a few years ago. A multi-roomed pub with a pool table to the right of the front entrance. A cobblestone-like flooring greets you as you enter here. The front entrance is also where the 2 handpumps are found. Only 1 handpump was dispensing a real ale which was DHB by whoever.

Alan Hurdle left this review about Park Place

When I first passed the "Park Place" I wasn't sure that it was a pub. With the sign board missing and no Inn or Hotel indication, I thought it might have been a Guest House or residential flats.
I entered into a small lounge which with it's dark boarded floor was more like a public bar. At the other side of the bar was a much larger public bar, with a boarded floor at one end and attractive mosaic tiling on the rest of the room. This room had a large TV screen. Next to this room was a separate pool room. The bar has one handpump with Real Ale being a fairly recent addition. They are alternating through the 'Marstons Range' with Pedigree making it's first appearance. During my stay I was the only user of the handpump with most of the customers drinking lager or direct from WKD or Corona type bottles. In spite of this, the Pedigree was on good form.

Dafydd Vaughan left this review about Park Place Hotel

Hello, my name is Dafydd Vaughan, I am the Landlord of the Park Place. No longer a hotel, and to my knowledge has not been for several decades, the Park Place is a fantastic pub with fantastic beer. The Park Place, known to locals as the 'Parky', enjoys a good atmosphere throught the week; especially for live sport. With Sky Sports and Setanta being shown on several screens throughout the pub it's a brilliant place to be for watching your favourite live games. The Parky also is a new home for live music in Ruthin as a range of fantastic bands are showcased here regularly. There is also a very large beer gardern and excellent smoking facilities for smokers. I look forward to welcoming new customers and welcoming back new regulars.
