A month after losing it's Real Ale, and only 3 months after reopening, The Swan has closed again!

The Swan has now reopened after two year closure from the start of the pandemic.
Initially had three cask ales on sale from Thwaites Brewery, but reported as none available recently!

Unpretentious traditional locals' pub retaining two bar layout - darts, pool, TVs and jukebox to one side and a quieter lounge to the other. Thwaites IPA and Original on handpump seemed fair enough. Perfectly acceptable, with the only worrying note being a 'For Sale' sign outside.

Surprise surprise. A good traditional style pub in Rhyl serving real ale. If you're unfortunate enough to be in Rhyl then this is one of the few decent pubs around.

Possibly the most traditional pub in Rhyl. There are two rooms, the one on the right is more for seated drinking and dining and is nicely wood panelled. The one on the left has a pool table & a dartboard and had sport showing on the TV during my visit. Friendly barman and a cracking pint of Thwaites Nutty Black Mild made for a pleasant 30 minutes reading the newspapers supplied by the pub for the punters. The other beers on the bar were Thwaites Original and Lancaster Bomber. This would be a good pub anywhere, but in Rhyl it's an absolute gem.

A pub of two halves.One side noisy and bustling showing sport on TV,the other side very traditional and quiet.Thwaites beers on offer.
